Privacy Policy

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

This privacy policy explains how Data Frosch handles your personal data in two places: when you subscribe to The Pond newsletter (section 9), and when you register for one of our events through a LinkedIn Event registration form (sections 2–8). We process your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What data we collect

When you register for a Data Frosch event hosted on our LinkedIn Page, you submit a registration form that is pre-filled from your LinkedIn profile. The form collects:

  • First name and last name
  • Email address
  • Job title
  • Company name
  • Country/region

Submitting the registration form is required to attend the event. If you do not wish to share this data, please contact us directly at the address above to ask about alternatives.

3. Why we use your data and our legal basis

  • Running the event: We use your data to manage your registration and to send you information relevant to the event you signed up for (joining details, schedule, follow-up materials). Legal basis: performance of our service to you / our legitimate interest in delivering the event.
  • Marketing communications: We will only send you promotional or marketing messages about our products and services if you ticked the consent checkbox on the registration form. Legal basis: your consent.

We do not send marketing communications to anyone who did not select the consent checkbox.

4. Where your data comes from and is held

  • The registration data is collected and stored by LinkedIn, which acts as a processor on our behalf. We access it through the Analytics section of our LinkedIn Page. LinkedIn's handling of your data is also governed by the LinkedIn Privacy Policy.
  • When we download registrant data, we keep it on our own secured systems for the purposes described above.

5. How long we keep your data

  • On LinkedIn, registrant data is available to us for up to one year from the day you register. After one year it can no longer be accessed there.
  • Any data we download we keep only as long as needed for the event and, where you consented, for ongoing communications. We delete it when it is no longer needed or when you ask us to.

6. Who we share your data with

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • Your data is processed by LinkedIn (the registration platform) and may be processed by the email or newsletter tools we use to communicate with you. We only use providers that offer appropriate data protection safeguards.

7. Your rights under the GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten")
  • Object to or restrict our processing of your data
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw your consent to marketing at any time — every marketing email also includes an unsubscribe link

To exercise any of these rights, email us at ada@datafrosch.fun. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

8. Changes to this policy

  • We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

9. Newsletter sign-up (The Pond)

  • When you subscribe to The Pond newsletter on this website, you submit your email address through a small sign-up form that sends it to our newsletter platform, Beehiiv, via an API function hosted on Vercel. The only data collected through the form is your email address.
  • We use your email address to send you The Pond newsletter, with your consent.
  • Newsletter emails start after you confirm your subscription using the link Beehiiv emails you.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter.
  • Beehiiv processes your email address on our behalf as our newsletter platform. Its handling of your data is also governed by the Beehiiv Privacy Policy.
  • For any questions or requests about your data, contact the controller listed in section 1: ada@datafrosch.fun.
